Antonio Guerra, Ph.D Canidate

Started: July 2018

Antonio Guerra received his B.S. in Electronic and Automatic Engineering from The University of Extremadura (Spain) in 2012. He earned his M.S. in Research in Engineering from the University of Extremadura (Spain) in 2014. He worked at Benito Mahedero Laboratory at the University of Extremadura in electrical applications of superconductors. He obtained a Spanish Government Grand (BES-2014-070290) to develop his Ph.D. He started his Ph.D in Biomanufacturing at the University of Girona (Spain) in 2015 under the supervision of Dr. Joaquim Ciurana. His experiences includes design and implementation of electronic systems, manufacturing machines and process development. His current research interests are in new manufacturing processes for small medical devices (cardiovascular stents and scaffolds for tissue engineering) mainly by additive manufacturing technologies.
