Gabriel Mirhaidari is a first year graduate student in the Biomedical Sciences Graduate Program currently rotating in the lab. Prior to joining OSU, Gabriel received his Bachelor of Science in Integrated Life Sciences from Kent State University. He then completed his first two years of medical school at Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED) as part of a combined BS/MD program. After completion of his second year, he began a leave of absence to earn a PhD from OSU with plans to return to NEOMED to complete his MD/PhD. In the lab he is working on cell culture. His main research interests are in the human musculoskeletal system and tissue regeneration. His current interests in medical specialities include aerospace medicine and orthopedic surgery with plans to pursue a career as a physician scientist.
