Hongtao Yang received his Ph.D. in biomaterials from Peking University in China in 2019. During his Ph.D., his research focused on biodegradable zinc-based implants for orthopedic and cardiovascular applications. Now he is a postdoctoral researcher in the Osteo Engineering lab. His research projects currently include additive manufacture of stiffness-matched NiTi bone implants and seeding, proliferation, and differentiation of hMSCs in 3D bone tissue engineering scaffolds for repair of critical size bone defects.
