Jan Lammel, M.D. Ph.D.

Jan graduated in 2010 with a B.S. in the Biosciences program from Tecnologico de Monterrey
while doing 3 summer research internships (Metabolism at Houston Methodist, Radiology at
Houston Methodist and Cancer at Tecnologico de Monterrey). In 2013, he received his Ph.D.
in Biotechnology from Tecnologico de Monterrey after doing his research in the Baxter/Webb
lab at Houston Methodist as part of the M.D. Ph.D. program. During this time he focused on
Nuclear Receptors (specifically TR and metabolism regulation of cholesterol). He received
his M.D. degree from Tecnologico de Monterrey in 2017, when he officially joined Dr. Rodriguez’
research group in Advanced Manufacturing, mostly focusing on Hepato-Bilio-Pancreatic surgery and
medical & laparoscopic surgical devices. He joined the Osteo Engineering Lab at Ohio State in December 2017.
