Ryan Hooper is a graduate student at OSU who is pursuing a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering. He received his B.S. degree in BME from OSU in the Fall of 2020. Ryan is currently involved in the Defined Media project at the Osteo Engineering Lab where he is working on quantifying the efficacy of a specialized osteogenic differentiation media compared to other similar commercial products in terms of alkaline phosphatase production, ECM production, and gene expression. He is also leading cell culture work for the Chaotic Printing project, which seeks to validate a novel bioreactor design. Ryan hopes to eventually have a career in industry research.
