Sourav Dutta

Sourav Dutta received his Ph.D. in Biomaterials from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur in 2021. He earned his Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur, in 2014. He previously worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the DGIST-ETH Microrobot Research Center, South Korea (2022–2024). Currently, he is a Postdoctoral Scholar at The Ohio State University. His current research focuses on the development of magnesium-based alloys for orthopaedic applications, including bio-ceramic coatings to enhance corrosion resistance. His broader research interests include tribology, metal casting and post-processing, metal matrix composites, micro-robotics, and additive manufacturing.
