Dr. Tanya Djemal is a postdoctoral researcher and laboratory manager at the Osteoengineering Laboratory at The Ohio State University. Originally from the United Kingdom, Dr. Djemal holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences, a Master of Science in Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine, and a Doctor of Medicine (MD). At OSU, she leads the cell culture and surgery team and oversees advanced 3D CT segmentation for virtual surgical planning. Her expertise bridges clinical insight with biomedical innovation, contributing to translational research at the intersection of surgery and regenerative medicine. Dr. Djemal is deeply committed to pursuing a clinical specialization in global and general surgery while continuing her academic and research work in regenerative medicine. Her goal is to integrate surgical practice with cutting-edge bioengineering solutions to improve patient outcomes worldwide.
